Lecturer – Science
Description✓Joining our School for Vocational and Technical Studies, the Lecturer in Science will have a specific brief on achieving excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and creative innovation.
✓You will teach on a wide range of levels including HE, across the Science and Healthcare provision, but with a specific focus on Science
✓You will produce module study guides and schemes of work, monitor their delivery, supervise assessment, provide internal verification and liaise with external verifiers/moderators as required.
✓We’re seeking someone with excellent teaching skills, recognised as a good or better teacher
✓You’ll hold a degree [or higher] or have relevant qualifications in an appropriate subject and have experience of successfully monitoring and supporting ‘at-risk’ learners to achieve or exceed their potential.
✓With high personal standards and expectations, you will have strong planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills and good attention to detail
✓You will be receptive to new ideas and initiatives, have a creative approach to problem solving work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.
✓A teaching qualification is not essential, however we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
