Nursery Practitioner

DescriptionA well-established Nursery located in a rural area not far from Northampton, is expanding their team and looking for Nursery Practitioners to work with the over 2’s to 4 age group
Their beautiful setting in a converted Grade II Listed farmhouse and old dairy, places heavy emphasis on a ‘home from home’ environment, with high quality care and exceptional grounds for children to explore
They pride themselves on low ratios, expansive space, and low staff turnover. 
Ideally you will have a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years or Childcare, with previous experience working in a nursery

As Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
Build rapport with both children and parents, understanding their individual needs in order to provide a high standard of care
Act as educators, delivering exciting, fun and interactive learning and play
Work as part of a team to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which all children can play, develop, and learn.
We are looking for a Nursery Practitioner who has the following skills and experience: 
Ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years or Childcare, or hold previous experience in a similar position
Be passionate about working with young children and possess a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
Must be able to laugh at jokes you don't understand, or you don't find funny!
Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
Must also have the ability to read a fairy tale upside down with at least 4 interruptions per page
You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace
Laughter is something you can expect for a large part of your working day
Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families

This position is available as a full-time position of 40/45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, or could be split as a job share between two people working 25/30 hours per week on set working days
The nursery would also consider term time only for the right candidate. 
You must either hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
