We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic teaching team starting this September!

We are working in partnership with an Pupil Referral Unit [PRU] based in North Somerset, who are looking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant from September
This is a full-time vacancy and the school is seeking the right person to join them as they continue their journey of growth

Your responsibilities
Create and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for primary-aged students in a Pupil Referral Unit setting.
Develop individualised education plans and interventions to address the specific needs of each student.
Foster positive relationships with students, providing emotional support and guidance.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and respectful classroom environment.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including support staff, parents, and external agencies, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to student development.
Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to inform future instruction
Requirements
Experience working with children with special needs
Ability to provide support in both individual and group settings
Excellent communication skills
A caring and patient nature
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Valid DBS clearance
Relevant qualifications [e.g
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools]
