We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic teaching team starting this September!

✓We are working in partnership with an Pupil Referral Unit [PRU] based in North Somerset, who are looking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant from September
✓This is a full-time vacancy and the school is seeking the right person to join them as they continue their journey of growth
✓The successful candidates can expect to work in a very challenging but rewarding environment.
✓Your responsibilities
✓Create and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for primary-aged students in a Pupil Referral Unit setting.
✓Develop individualised education plans and interventions to address the specific needs of each student.
✓Foster positive relationships with students, providing emotional support and guidance.
✓Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and respectful classroom environment.
✓Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including support staff, parents, and external agencies, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to student development.
✓Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to inform future instruction
✓Requirements
✓Experience working with children with special needs
✓Ability to provide support in both individual and group settings
✓Excellent communication skills
✓A caring and patient nature
✓A positive attitude and strong work ethic
✓Valid DBS clearance
✓Relevant qualifications [e.g
✓CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools]
