SEN Primary Teaching Assistant
Description✓A very friendly client school deemed 'Good' in their last Ofsted, urgently require a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a year 4 student with physical disabilities and speech, language and communication needs.
✓The school is in a quiet suburb of Enfield, within walking distance of a train station and close to local bus routes.
✓The Role
✓* You will support the child on a 1:1 basis in and out of the classroom
✓* Attend to the child's personal and health care needs
✓* Assist with all work set and help in areas of specific weakness
✓* Develop appropriate resources to motivate and encourage
✓* Assist in the management of the child's social well-being
✓* Providing continuous positive reinforcement and praise
✓* Due to the child's disability, manual handling will be also required to move the pupil from his specialist chair to his walker and the carpet
✓Key Skills Required
✓* Evidence of working with children with SEND
✓* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✓* Ability to form positive relationships with children and adults
✓* Ability to be flexible and adaptable in order to meet the needs of the child
✓* Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the child's welfare
