✓We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our team in Lewisham
✓As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
✓Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the personal, social, and academic development of all students.
✓Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
✓Assess and monitor student's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
✓Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to develop individualised education plans [IEPs] and ensure consistent support for students.
✓Work closely with parents/carers, providing regular feedback on student's progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
✓Maintain accurate records and reports on student's achievements, attendance, and behaviour.
✓Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN teaching and implement effective teaching practices.Requirements:
✓Qualified Teacher Status [QTS] or equivalent.
✓Experience working with students with SEN in a primary and/or secondary specialist school setting.
✓Strong knowledge and understanding of various special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and speech and language difficulties.
✓Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
✓Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEN.
