Description✓Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
✓Location: Swindon, UK
✓Salary: £80-£85 per day
✓Contract: Full-time, temp-perm
✓Hours: Monday-Friday 08:30-15:30
✓We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs school in Swindon
✓The successful candidate will work with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health [SEMH] needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Providing support to children with SEMH needs in both individual and group settings
✓Creating and delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities that cater to the specific needs of each child
✓Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop individual education plans [IEPs] for each child
✓Encouraging positive behaviour and providing guidance and support to children to help them manage their emotions
✓Building positive relationships with children, parents and staff members
✓Monitoring and reporting on the progress of children, and adjusting teaching methods as necessaryRequirements:
✓Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential
✓Relevant qualifications [e.g
✓Level 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education]
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✓Patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards working with children
✓A good understanding of safeguarding procedures
✓The ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamThis is a temporary role with the possibility of extension, starting as soon as possible
