✓Responsibilities:
✓* Assist and support students with special educational needs, ensuring their well-being, engagement, and progress.
✓* Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans [IEPs] for students.
✓* Provide one-on-one support and group support, adapting teaching methods and resources as needed.
✓* Promote a positive learning environment, encouraging students' social and emotional development.
✓* Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility, as required.
✓* Collaborate with parents and guardians to maintain effective communication and support the students' overall development.
✓* Monitor and record students' progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
✓* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education.
✓Requirements:
✓* Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably within a school setting.
✓* Understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder [ASD], Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD], and speech and language difficulties.
✓* Knowledge of relevant teaching strategies and techniques for supporting students with special educational needs.
✓* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
✓* Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
✓* Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs and challenges of students.
✓* Flexibility to work as part of a team and independently, depending on the situation.
✓Preferred Qualifications:
✓* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
✓* Additional training or qualifications in special education or related fields.
