As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development, helping them reach their full potential.
Role Description:
As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to provide tailored support to students with SEN
Your responsibilities will include:

Empowering Student Success:
Build strong and positive relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive environment.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting teaching materials to meet their individual needs.
Foster students' confidence, self-esteem, and independence.2
Collaborative Approach:
Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans [IEPs].
Assist in creating and maintaining a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.3
Holistic Support:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement.
Support students with their personal care needs, if required.4
Progress Monitoring:
Observe and assess students' progress, recording their achievements and challenges.
Collaborate with the team to evaluate and adjust strategies to meet individual student needs.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on students' progress.
Requirements:
Genuine passion for working with students with SEN and making a positive impact on their lives.
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach towards supporting students' diverse needs.
Knowledge of SEN conditions and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
Understanding of child safeguarding and welfare responsibilities.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
