✓Responsibilities:
✓As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students in their learning and development
✓Your responsibilities will include:
✓Learning Support:
✓Assist the teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating accessible and engaging learning activities for all students, including those with additional needs.Small Group Sessions:
✓Lead small group sessions to provide targeted support and reinforcement of learning objectives.One-to-One Support:
✓Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs, tailoring your approach to meet their individual requirements.Behaviour Management and Emotional Regulation:
✓Support the teacher with behavior management strategies, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
✓Assist students with emotional regulation, helping them develop effective coping mechanisms.Individual Education Plans [IEPs]:
✓Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans [IEPs] for students, working collaboratively with the teaching team and parents/carers.Effective Communication:
✓Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and outside agencies, ensuring a holistic and coordinated approach to student support.
✓Requirements:
✓Qualifications and Experience:
✓Relevant qualifications as an SEN Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
✓Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a school setting.SEN Knowledge and Skills:
✓Strong understanding of different SEN needs and strategies for supporting students with complex needs.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.Collaborative Approach:
✓Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting the overall well-being and development of students.Passion and Dedication:
