✓As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the students, both in and out of the classroom.
✓Your responsibilities will include:
✓Assisting students with their academic work, providing individualized support tailored to their specific needs.
✓Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of belonging and self-confidence among students.
✓Supporting students in managing their emotions and developing coping strategies to navigate their mental health challenges effectively.
✓Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement personalized education plans [IEPs] and ensure students' progress.
✓Encouraging and facilitating student engagement in extracurricular activities and social interactions.
✓Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and reporting any concerns to the appropriate professionals.
✓Assisting with administrative tasks and classroom preparation as required
✓Requirements:
✓To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria: Possess a genuine passion for working with young individuals with mental health needs.
✓Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or SEN setting.
✓A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to student support.
✓Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
✓The ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and professionals.
✓A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
✓Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of our students
✓Working Hours: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:45 am to 4:45 pm.
