SEND Teaching Assistant
Description✓To start September 2023, full time Monday to Friday until July 2024.
✓Long term Teaching Assistant [TA] position to support primary aged children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health [SEMH] needs.
✓The school has provision for pupils aged 5-11 years old who have an education, health, and care plan [EHCP] that reflects their needs
✓These include Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties that manifest in behavioural ways.
✓We are looking someone who can commit fully and really support the children individually to help them overcome their challenges and engage in learning
✓Experience of working with children is essential but not necessarily in the classroom
✓If you have a sports background this would be ideal as the children enjoy playing football to regulate their emotions and to overcome challenges
✓We are looking for someone who has lots of empathy, and a positive and energetic attitude.
✓You will be joining a vibrant, dedicated, and positive team.
✓The school offers a creative curriculum, a very child centred and nurturing approach, to support and enthuse young learners to reach their potential
✓It will involve working with small groups for reading and writing and supporting with different activities throughout the day.
