Support Worker
Description✓Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant or support worker LSA who can support SEND children 1:1 in an SEN Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties school in Blackburn BB3/BB1 Lancashire
✓The school is for children with a wide range of SEN learning difficulties from Moderate Learning Difficulties [MLD] to Severe Learning Difficulties [SLD] including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties [PMLD] and Autistic Spectrum Condition [ASC] [ASD]
✓In addition to learning needs some pupils have sensory needs including visual impairments, hearing impairments and multi-sensory impairments; some pupils also have complex medical needs.
✓The Teaching Assistant must be dedicated and an enthusiastic individual who can support SEN children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
✓Personal care may be involved
✓The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants and support workers or graduates who have some experience in a similar role with SEN
✓Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

✓Hours - 8:20 am - 3.30pm : Mon - Fri [term time only]
✓EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
✓Previous experience in a similar setting
✓Support worker , youth worker , graduate , care assistant, learning support worker
✓LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
✓GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
✓Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
✓TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
✓Hold Right to Work in the UK
✓Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
✓Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
