About the school
A special school for young people aged 7-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs [SEMH] for students in KS2-KS4
The schools mission is to offer a turning point for the most vulnerable young people in Blackburn and Burnley who have complex social, emotional and mental health needs.
The schools personal approach to learning ensures that a unique and stimulating curriculum is created to suit the needs of every individual pupil.
Your Role will be to give pupils the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives.
You will assist and provide extra support to pupils in small groups, where they study the core curriculum and activities, tailored to individual student needs.
In addition to the core curriculum, we provide rich and varied curriculum opportunities ranging from vocational courses, academic programmes and programmes that support pupils' personal and social development
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
