Teaching Assistant Emotional needs
Description✓Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and energetic TA to support students in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Blackburn.
✓The school is for students in Key Stage 2 - Key Stage 4, many of whom have found it difficult to be successful in a mainstream school and some with an Educational Health and Care Plan [EHCP]
✓The school is a provision for a range of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, speech and language difficulties and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [ADHD],
✓Located in Blackburn the school is easily accessed by public transport with bus stops nearby.
✓The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults
✓Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

✓EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
✓Previous experience in a similar setting / SEMH/ PRU
✓LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
✓GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
✓Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
✓Team Teach qualified [or signed up to attend the with our agency]
✓TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
✓Hold Right to Work in the UK
✓Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
✓Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
