The school and role
A primary school in Manchester, are searching for a proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team

The successful Teaching Assistant will be a passionate and proactive individual, that is capable of building good relationships with pupils and staff. Working in the reception class, you will be supporting children who can become easily agitated, leading them to throwing items around the classroom and indirectly putting their peers at risk of being hit
The need to understand what triggers these events is key to preventing the child from going into crisis
You need a great deal of understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be able to work with the class teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:
Have experience working in Early Years Foundation Stage
Have excellent behaviour management skills, as  you need to be patient and understanding of each child as they are all unique, and are constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured
Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required
level 2 Teaching Assistant or recent experience

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
