TimePlan Education are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed Unqualified Teacher of Science who will help expand the learning experiences of the children at this Lewisham-based school.
We are seeking a motivated, skilled and resilient Unqualified Teacher of Science who displays a strong interest in supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties along with autism
The chosen candidate will demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and the ability to build rapport quickly.
The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.
This role would suit someone who has a passion for working with young people
It's also a perfect way to see if teaching could be a career for you!
Ideally, you'll have a degree in Science but this is not essential
Some experience of working with young people is preferred
If you don't have any experience then training can be provided
What is essential though, is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
Communication - Communicating with young people is vital to understand their needs
Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
Organisation - Ideally, you will have experience of organising and planning well-structured activities for young people or adults
You will also be able to demonstrate how you tailor these activities to the needs of the pupils; adapting to respond to the strengths and needs of each learner.
Caring - The young people you will work with require the best care you can offer
If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
