We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a reputable SEN school located in Enfield
This position offers a rewarding and fulfilling experience, enabling you to make a significant difference in the lives of children with SEN.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to Key Stage 2 students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to promote students' academic progress and personal development.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with the teaching staff and other support professionals to implement individualized education plans [IEPs] for students with SEN.
Help students develop essential skills, such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills.
Monitor and track students' progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to the SEN Coordinator and class teacher.
Support students during outings, extracurricular activities, and school events, ensuring their safety and engagement.
Collaborate with parents/guardians, providing regular feedback on students' progress and addressing any concerns or queries.Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within Key Stage 2 and with students with SEN.
A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs and a commitment to their holistic development.
Good knowledge of various special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and the wider school community.
Patience, empathy, and resilience to effectively manage challenging situations and behaviors.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields will be highly advantageous.SEN School:
