We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our students' educational journey
With excellent public transport links, our school is easily accessible for both staff and students.
Job Responsibilities: As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and students in their learning and development
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons for Year 2 students.
Providing individual and small group support to students, focusing on their specific learning needs.
Supporting students with special educational needs [SEN] in their academic and social progress.
Implementing behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assisting with the assessment and monitoring of student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
Collaborating with the class teacher to develop and adapt resources to meet individual student needs.
Supporting students with personal care and ensuring their well-being during school hours.
Promoting a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Participating in school activities, meetings, and training sessions as required.Requirements: To be considered for the role of Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you should meet the following requirements:
Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting, ideally in Year 2 or with SEN.
Possess a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher [such as Level 3 or equivalent].
Knowledge and understanding of the Year 2 curriculum.
Familiarity with strategies for supporting children with SEN.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school.
Availability to start immediately and commit to a full-time role.
