Youth Worker

Qualiteach is currently working with a SEMH School who is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join their school in September on a full-time basis
You will be employed to act as a role model/parent figure, as well as supporting their students on an education, social and emotional basis
All of the students you will be supporting will have some form of Social, Emotional or Mental Health Needs, some may also have mild Autism or has been through childhood trauma
In each class there will be 2-6 students, during lessons you will be required to support them with anything they are struggling with, due to the students needs there will be times where their behaviour will become quite challenging, and this will need to be kept to a minimum
Therefore, the ideal Youth Worker for this role will need to have had previous experience supporting young people, be able to build a strong rapport and no be phased by challenging behaviour

SEMH School

This all boys SEMH School is located in the South London borough of Wandsworth and caters for students aged between 5-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs
They currently have 180 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in 2022, they were awarded 'Good' in all areas
