Reporting to the Head of Innovation [HoI] the Electrical & Electronic Engineer [EEE] will help the business advance our electrical products, systems & applications with various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations to ensure our systems meet the global safety standards & collaborating with the technical team to solve emerging issues
You will also research on new products, manufacturing processes, analyse data & trends to create new products to improve the company's products & processes & contribute to its growth.
Responsibilities:
Market & execute the company's mission, vision & goals
Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical innovations
Estimating material, construction & labour costs, & project timescales
Testing installations & systems, & analysing data
Making sure projects meet electrical & electronic safety regulations
Overseeing inspection & maintenance programmes
Develop hardware/software solutions to agreed time, cost & quality to meet business milestones
Producing documentation required to support the new product development process including diagrams, technical specifications, supporting calculations, design evidence & justifications
Installing systems to the design documentation ensuring all work is done safely & to all relevant standards
Author testing documentation to ensure solutions developed satisfies the associated requirements
Using real-time data collection to increase accuracy & lower labour costs
Attending meetings, writing reports & giving presentations to managers & clients
Design, control, & implement electrical systems & products
Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes & standards
Manage engineering projects & deliver them on time, in budget & to client specifications
Define customer needs & requirements
Ensure that installations & applications are in line with customer needs & safety standards
Collaborate with engineers & technicians to design & apply new system processes
Summarise data & report on test results
Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs & help prepare budgets
Any other duties deemed necessary for the smooth running of the business
