✓The role:
✓The successful Electronics Systems Design Engineer will join a friendly highly skilled engineering team and will be working on developing cutting edge imaging technology for science, industrial and space applications
✓This is very interesting, but challenging work, and will see the successful Electronics Systems Design Engineers work being integrated into instruments around the world performing ground-breaking science and supporting high value manufacturing.
✓
✓Key Skills:
✓3-5+ years industry experience
✓Experience in the full product design lifecycle – from concept to introduction into manufacturing
✓FPGA Design & Development
✓High Speed Digital Design including components such as Microprocessors and FPGAs
✓Power supply design, Linear and Switched mode
✓Low noise analogue design using DACs and ADCs
✓FPGA firmware design for Xilinx Artix A7 and Polarfire FPGAs
✓Embedded software design - C, C++, Windows, or Linux
✓In house prototyping and bench testing PCBs and circuits
✓Electronics design peer reviews
✓Electronics architecture reviews
✓Design feasibility evaluation
✓Creation and maintenance of specification and other relevant documentation
✓Self-starter, inquisitiveness, and an ambition to learn about new technologies
✓Good communication and team player
✓Desirable nice to have skills:
✓FPGA Design & Development - Xilinx/Intel family
✓Experience of hardware and firmware design using Xilinx/Intel/Microchip family FPGAs and Polarfire FPGAs
✓Embedded software design with Microblaze
✓Practical knowledge of Vivado IDE and Microchip Libro IDE
✓ECAD user, preferably Pads Professional
✓Awareness of manufacturing standards such as IPC, ECSS
✓Knowledge of project management & planning tools Knowledge/experience for DDR [Double Data Rate] Memories
✓Network interface protocols – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, TCP/IP
✓Experience of designing with CCD sensors
✓Experience of designing with CMOS sensorsBenefits Package:
