✓Our client, a reputable manufacturing business based in Melksham, is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis
✓As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for testing, refurbishing, and fixing faults in safety critical products used worldwide
✓This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise in analogue and digital electronic circuitry, fault finding, and working with schematic diagrams.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Conduct testing and refurbishment of safety critical products.
✓Perform fault finding to component level on both analogue and digital electronic circuitry.
✓Read, interpret, and work with schematic diagrams.
✓Conduct fault finding via bench testing and ATE systems.
✓Utilize a range of bench top equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, Counter timers, and other relevant tools.
✓Utilize a variety of handheld meters effectively.
✓Perform soldering and re-work of both surface mount and plate through packages.
✓Competently repair PCB tracks.
✓Terminate cables and perform crimping activities.
✓Adhere to IPC standards, preferably IPC qualified.Skills Required:
✓In-depth understanding of both analogue and digital electronic circuitry.
✓Proficiency in fault finding to component level on both analogue and digital electronic circuitry.
✓Ability to read, interpret, and work with schematic diagrams.
✓Experience in fault finding via bench testing and ATE systems.
✓Familiarity with and competency in using Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, Counter timers, and other bench top equipment.
✓Familiarity with and competency in using a wide range of handheld meters.
✓Competence in soldering and re-work of both surface mount and plate through packages.
✓Familiarity with and competence in PCB track repair.
✓Previous experience in terminating cables and performing crimping activities.
