Field Service Engineer
Description✓Role:
✓As a Field Service Engineer you will have contact with customers in analytical laboratories
✓You will be concentrating on installations, PM servicing, breakdowns, customer support, and troubleshooting
✓We require someone willing to learn about new software and hardware with the ability to adapt to challenges.
✓You should be able to:
✓Liaise with customers and colleagues in the site planning process prior to installation Inspect, install, set up test and achieve specifications of systems and accessories at customer sites, and deliver basic operator training
✓Carry out breakdown and planned preventative maintenance at customers sites
✓Provide fault finding technical support and assistance to customers and to colleagues
✓Carry out procedures necessary to validate systems to certifiable standards Frequent travel within the UK & Ireland which is an essential part of the job Provide additional support for the Sales team; running samples, producing reports for customers in a timely manner plus method development
✓Work on own initiative and troubleshoot under pressure Have confidence in writing technical reports and deliver to customers in a timely manner
✓Self-motivation and a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal
✓The ability to contribute to a team effort, yet to accept responsibility for an individual role within the team
✓Excel at continual learning in a rapidly advancing technological areaWe are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
✓A professional image and a very high standard of personal presentation
✓Minimum qualifications: HNC/HND Level 4 or equivalent required.
✓First hand experience of a laboratory environment Fluent in English Focussed, self-motivated and a team player
✓Excellent communication skills Willing to travel Excellent IT skills
✓A current driving licence valid in UK
✓Ability to read, understand and interpret electronic drawings
