PERMANENT FULL TIME: MON TO THURS 8AM TO 5PM FRI 8AM TO 1PM
SALARY: £27K plus benefits
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit a Graduate AOI Engineer for our client, a specialist manufacturer based on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales.
Responsibilities
Main Purpose of Role
To ensure that:
AOI captures 100% failures
There is 100% test utilisation is available across all shifts.
AOI Programs are produced in line with plan requirement
AOI & SPI defect data is available in line with customer requirements.
Complex re-work is performed as required [BGA / QFN’S / LGA’S / POP’S] etc.
In addition to this, implement & deploy continuous improvement activities throughout the department to support future growth by meeting and exceeding its customer requirements internally and externally
As well as supporting the shift supervisors in achieving the weekly plan and to train staff to support the area with minimal Engineering.
Outcomes of Role
Achieve 100% Test utilisation across AOI.
All A.O.I machinery is maintained and performs to its optimum whenever the production plan requires.
Achieve “ZERO” leaked defect from Auto Insert Area
Responsibilities
Create new AOI Programs.
Debug AOI programs.
Create AOI documentation [Process Flow / Maint].
Perform AOI Maintenance.
Create AOI training documentation.
Perform AOI training  [Prog  / User].
Conduct bespoke / Complex reworks.
Martin reworks operation / training.
Ensure quality related feedback performed.
Investigation of defects produced.
X-ray / Ersa / HD analysis.
Provide support with new assets / machinery.
Create AOI training documentation.
Perform AOI Maintenance.
Back up and recall AOI data in line with customer requirements.
Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
Any other duties deemed necessary.

Electrical / Mechanical skills
Good Organisation skills
Good computer skills
Desirable skills
B/Tec HNC Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Experience of AOI / SPI systems, IT knowledge - networks, etc.
