PCB Assembly

DescriptionBased in Southampton, a leader in analogue and mixed-signal CMOS ICs is now looking for a PCB Assembly Technician.
Your main duties will be PCB Assembly and soldering to IPC standards – surface mount and through hole.
You will also be required to Inspect products and reworking when required.
You will also arrange assembly with our client’s external assembly house
This will include the preparation of kit prior to assembly or send to external assembly house.
In addition to PCB Assembly, you will also be responsible for lab equipment maintenance
i.e
check in/check out lab equipment, arrange calibration, liaise with supplier on repair, book keeping of test equipment list.
You will also maintain ESD requirements – bench setups, wrist strap logs, spares.
In summary you will be responsible for all areas of PCB Assembly, SMT and general lab support, including ad-hoc PCB rework request, order components and consumables, cables assembly, housekeeping.
Experience:
As the successful PCB Assembly Technician, you must have experience working with small electronics components, working to 0201 case size and fine pitch QFN.
You should have previous experience in PCB Assembly, soldering and working to engineering drawings and bills of materials [BOM].
