✓Randstad has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Support Engineer to join a global Vacuum, abatement and electronics manufacturing company based in Eastbourne
✓Salary: £32,000 - £47,000 + Additional Benefits
✓The Role
✓To Provide Senior Engineer level support for production-critical Automated Electronic Test Equipment installed in Finals Production Cells, in line with the current ongoing Production Capacity Ramp
✓Identify EOL Test Systems and specify and commission long term replacement solutions to modernise our suite of test systems and execute various projects to aid in reducing FTTFR and increasing Test equipment resilience, flexibility, and capability.
✓Duties, Skills & Experience
✓Address and resolve problems with VB-controlled Automated Electronic Test Equipment installed in our Finals production cells.
✓Carry out second-line trouble shooting in the event of test failures.
✓Liaise with the production team to support test fails.
✓Conduct root cause analysis to identify product or test equipment fault.
✓In cases of problems with test equipment, put in place short term containment solutions and plan long term resolution.
✓Identify and implement long term solutions for high-risk equipment
✓Continuous improvements to the test solutions in place for all modules / end products.The Candidate:
✓Hold a Degree or HND in Electronic Engineering [or equivalent].
✓Have the ability to read, understand and modify Test Programs written in one or more of the following languages will be highly desirable: VB6, VB.net, C#, LabVIEW.
✓Possess strong knowledge of electronics theory and some knowledge of electronics design.
✓Knowledge of In-circuit Testing [ICT] would be [desirable], but not essential.
✓Have the ability to write clear and precise specifications for replacement test systems.
✓Possess good team working ability and interpersonal communications skills are critical.
✓Flexibility to perform multiple roles as part of a small team and ability to identify improvements and effect change.The Benefits
