Software Engineer
Description✓Are you an enthusiastic, motivated person? Perhaps you're also a skilled Software Engineer? If, so then my client would love to hear from you!
✓As you know, no two software projects are ever the same, so an adaptable approach is ideal for this role
✓My client is looking for people with software engineering capability across the whole spectrum of skills and seniority, but they are especially keen to hear from experienced candidates
✓The typical software domains falls into the areas of:
✓Embedded microcontrollers [bare metal, RTOS, edge intelligence, Wireless protocols, DSP, and state machines]
✓Embedded Linux [in the vein of Yocto and device drivers]
✓Cloud computing [e.g AWS and Azure]
✓Machine learning and AIDisciplines and experience:
✓Experienced in embedded software in one or more of RTOS, bare metal, and embedded Linux [DSP, SDR, andL1 are of particular interest]
✓Experience in developing C/C++ - someone who can write clear, easy to follow code that the next engineer will be able to follow without struggle
✓Solid understanding of at least one high-level programming languages, ideally C#/WPF
✓The ideal candidate would be adaptable- some code they write is in the science and research domain, however some may be deployed to many IoT nodes and must be of the highest production standard
✓My client is also looking for someone who is capable of writing software at the boundary between software, FPGAs, and hardware, but this doesn't mean they need you to be an expert at high-speed digital design.
✓Last but certainly not least, my clients main business focus is their clients and whilst it is certainly not a sales role, all engineers get involved in sales support, and once a project is won, they need people that can represent the business and its capabilities to the clients
✓So although not essential, some consultancy experience would set you in incredibly good stead.Whilst these skills are a huge benefit, the most important things are aptitude, demonstrable success according to your specialisations and seniority, and not being afraid to try new things
