Apprentice CAD Technician

DescriptionBrief Overview of the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a family run business as an Apprentice CAD Technician, producing drawings and designs to help the manufacturing process
This will also involve some manual work, administrative duties and liaising with customers.
As an Apprentice CAD Technician, you will be working partly in the office and partly in the workshop, producing engineering drawings and designing jigs.
The role will involve using CAD and CAM software and helping to program CNC machinery
There will also be some manual work including setting/operating machines, assembly and small maintenance tasks.
Initial Duties:
* Producing engineering drawings
* Setting/operating machines
* Assembly and small maintenance tasks
* Administration duties
* Use of CAD and CAM software
Desired Skills/Attributes:
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
* Knowledge of engineering drawings
* Ability to use power tools [drill, grinder, jig saw]
* Good communication
* A positive approach
* Self motivated and reliable
Working Pattern/Wages:
Monday-Thursday 6am-2.15pm
Friday 6am-10.30am
37.5 hours per week
£5.28ph x 37.5 = £198 per week
Training Course:
Engineering Technician L3 [Technician Support Pathway]
Desired Qualifications:
GCSE English Grade C or above [or equivalent]
GCSE Maths Grade C or above [or equivalent]
Future Prospects:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the possibility of a full-time position
This is at the discretion of the company.
