Building Services Engineer

DescriptionWe’re hiring for a Building Services Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading facility management companies based in Buxton, High Peak, as part of their Hard Service Team in order to maintain service delivery and quality of service with a pro-active approach.
Your role will also involve supporting all aspects of the contract and assisting in the delivery of the planned maintenance tasks including reactive and chargeable works on site for specialist contactors.

* £33,000 - £34,000 per annum
* 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday [40 hours per week]

What will you be doing as a Building Services Engineer?
* Carrying out Planned Maintenance and reactive tasks for all mechanical and electrical engineering and fabric related tasks, and undertaking engineering and fabric reactive duties as required and instructed, ensuring regular checks are completed as per KPI’s & SLA’s
* Attending call outs/breakdowns, carrying out fault diagnosis, repairing or advising as required to support the On-Call Engineer
* Scheduling your workload to ensure all works are completed on time and in line with KPI’s or following the correct procedure to extend jobs as required
* Carrying out plumbing tasks such as: repairing and unblocking and treating of toilets/ showers / sinks etc.
What do you need?
* 18th edition wiring regs
* Proven background in a similar environment is preferred
* Trade qualifications are essential
* The ability to build and develop excellent working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders and the on-site team
* Flexible and adaptable approach as well as solution focussed as workload dictates
* Excellent time management to set priorities and meet deadlines
* Window based experience; Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe
* Professional Certificate in Health and Safety [ISOH or NEBOSH] is desirable
What’s nice to have?
* Knowledge of the FM Hard Services industry
* Experience of CAFM systems
* Knowledge of statutory compliance within the industry
* Other qualifications to support the Hard Service team
