Bush Honer
Description✓Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Bush Honer/Mechanical Technician to join an esteemed aviation company based in Hayeson a permanent basis
✓This particular aviation company are best known for their aircraft's that fly worldwide and have been going through a period of growth through 2022 and now into 2023
✓This position specialises in the engineering of bushes and component for landing gear
✓Training for this position can be provided due to the specialist nature but candidates will need to have a solid mechanical knowledge ideally with some practical work experience and a keen eye for detail to succeed in this position
✓Tasks include but are not limited to:
✓Check component and bush log for accuracy.
✓Install bushes / bearings
✓Check bushes dimensions
✓Using workshop manuals and drawings.
✓Knowledge and comfortable use with wire locks, ovens and cryogenics
✓Using imperial calibrated measuring equipment.
✓Swage bushings with the suitable method [pressure, roller, stake, material displacing].
✓Assist with on wing support when trained
✓Requirements :
✓Engineering apprenticeship
✓Ability to measure using imperial measuring equipment
✓Aerospace background would be advantageous
✓Familiar with the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and data - based programmes
✓Trained in machine shop technology and working practices
✓The Mechanical Technician role will include being part of a fast growing, dynamic and diverse aviation company who are offering a competitive salary and employee benefits
✓The position is based on double day shifts:
✓Week 1: 06:00am - 14:00pm
✓Week 2: 14:00pm - 22:00pm A shift allowance is granted for this position.
