✓The below job description will outline this position: Business Assurance and Environmental Manager.
✓Typically, this person will help develop, implement, monitor and improve Quality Assurance, Environmental and Company Compliance management systems to companies within the group of companies.
✓HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.
✓Duties and responsibilities:
✓• Maintain and improve ISO 9001:2015, management systems and strategic quality plans
✓• Liaise with the Management teams as to their responsibilities within Risk Management Policy and Procedures.
✓• Manage and maintain the business compliance to ISO31000.
✓• Devise, implement and manage an internal compliance auditing programme, ensuring members of the company are trained to conduct internal audits and raise awareness of the quality standards expected throughout the business.
✓• To understand and implement the legal requirements for the control and monitoring of hazardous substances, waste streams and energy consumption across the group of companies in line with ISO 14001:2015 and our environmental objectives.
✓• To integrate Pollution Prevention Control and Local Authority Pollution Prevention Control – report and deal with regulators, up-date legal and compliance checks and manage Environmental Permits
✓• To provide subject matter expertise all staff on quality and environmental issues
✓• To Lead and mentor the Operational Quality staff to ensure that the Quality Control duties are executed in accordance with Quality documentation and consistently applied
✓• Support and align teams as required and appropriate
✓• Provide support to bids and projects in the definition and delivery of Quality and environmental plans
✓Qualifications and requirements:
✓• Excellent communication skills
✓• Quality management qualification
✓• NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management
✓• Subject matter expertise in operational ISO 14001 and 9001 management systems.
