The Role
Capella Professional are working with a long standing and valued client to source them a Business Development professional.
You will be working for a manufacturing company who are a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic products to a variety of industries
They have been established for 40 years and pride themselves on their dedication and communication to all their customers.
You will be reporting to the sales and service manager on a daily basis, the main aspect of the role is to develop the internal sales and provide outstanding levels of service
You will also be required to proactively bring on new business within the Hydraulics and Pneumatics industry.
Working hours
Monday-Friday 08:00am-17:00pm
Specific Responsibilities
· Proactively contact low or non-spending accounts, to rejuvenate business.
· All quotations are to be followed up immediately to ensure they have been received and actively progressed to convert to sales orders
The co-coordinator will be targeted to achieve certain levels of quote conversion, sales turnover and most importantly, total gross margin contribution.
· All sales orders to be entered onto "mainframe" system immediately upon receipt to enable MRP system to generate required purchase/works orders.
· Whenever an order is received the co-coordinator is responsible for establishing the payment method and the delivery arrangements
This must be entered clearly on the order.
· Whenever a customer requests a visit from a sales/technical representative, all visits must be 'booked' on the database.
· Dormant and low spending accounts are to be kept in contact regularly to establish reasons for reduced/non spend and to maintain the current partnership.
· A minimum of 10 outgoing calls to none spending, new businesses per day.
The Person
· Strong IT skills using Word, Excel.
· Adaptable to new CRM systems
· Team player
· Confident and hungry to bring on new business.
· Able to cope in challenging and fast paste environments.
· Ability to use sage [advantageous, training will be given if required]
· Excellent communication and analytical skills
· Previous experience in a Business Development role [ideally from a manufacturing background].
