Business Development Manager
Description✓Cordius is partnering with a fast-growing, innovative company that provides bespoke design, advanced engineering, and manufacturing solutions to clients in the automotive, marine, aerospace, and medical sectors.
✓We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our Daventry location
✓This is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and dynamic team
✓As the Business Development Manager, you will focus on expanding existing customer relationships and securing new contracts
✓Your role will be crucial in driving the company's growth by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
✓Salary: £35,000 - £50,000
✓Car Allowance: £5k
✓Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday
✓Hybrid working - minimum 2 days per week in the office.
✓Qualifications and Experience:
✓* Extensive experience in Manufacturing within the Advanced Engineering industry.
✓* Prior experience in Engineering Sales [commercial or technical].
✓* Degree-level education with proven experience in selling mechanical/technical products.
✓* Existing contacts within the Engineering/Automotive industry are preferred.
✓* Adept at both commercial and technical negotiations.
✓* Strong negotiation skills.
✓* Familiarity with Automotive projects, milestones, procedures, and gateways.
✓* Experience in a high-pressure work environment.
✓Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
✓* Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to secure profitable business by effectively selling manufacturing capacities and engineering capabilities to clients in the Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, and Military sectors [both new and existing customers].
✓* Manage all aspects of the sales process, including contract negotiation, account setup, payment terms, spare parts, and program duration.
✓* Serve as the main point of contact for new and existing Manufacturing customers.
✓* Coordinate with the Engineering department to establish accurate technical specifications or initiate engineering work to meet customer requirements.
✓* Lead planning and attendance for events such as trade shows, networking opportunities, or seminars to promote the business.
✓* Handle customer-specific inquiries and provide advice on product/technical issues for potential new customers.
✓* Develop a network of relationships with decision-makers within target prospects.
✓* Expand work in existing Advanced Engineering sectors, promote preferred supplier status, and Tier 1 development, while maintaining relationships with current clients to ensure ongoing contracts and business.
✓* Contribute actively to achieving departmental objectives, such as monthly sales targets.
