BASIC SALARY: £25,000 - £30,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Electrical Engineer, Test Engineer - machinery, calibrating, capital equipment, assembly, wiring, schematics
 
The role of a Electro-Mechanical Engineer is varied and requires a high level of experience in the assembly of machinery & wire harness' and be proficient in the reading of technical drawings and electrical schematics
 
In addition to this, you must also be highly organised, methodical and not afraid to multi task in a fast and ever changing environment
 
Your main duties will include:
· Build and fully test products within required date limitations and to the highest quality standards
· Carry out electro-mechanical assembly - involving sub-assemblies - with mechanical parts and wiring into chassis/box builds prior to then carrying out required testing procedures [electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic, from small to large]
· Assemble then leak and pressure test various pressure vessels to required standards prior to recording results
· Calibrating and servicing a broad range of products, systems and PCB boards
· Ensure all build procedures are used, followed and updated as required to ensure standards of work are maintained
· Install, test and commission equipment on, and occasionally, off site
· Carry out QA and testing tasks against company procedures prior to systems going to other departments and dispatch
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Electrical Engineer, Test Engineer - machinery, calibrating, capital equipment,  assembly, wiring, schematics
 
To be a successful Electro-Mechanical Engineer within our business, you will have a keen interest in the equipment and its operation
It is essential that you have experience along with possessing the knowledge and standards required to work in a fast paced work place where attention to detail is key, while also adhering to Health & Safety standards under your own supervision and important deadlines
 
You will also have:
· Experience of building high precision Electro-Mechanical products that have sub assemblies and include precision machined parts, linear guides, ball screws, bearings, belts, pulleys, various seals and similar mechanical components
· Knowledge and experience in building and testing pressure vessels with associated valves, seals and similar products
· Practical wire harness assembly experience - in addition where possible have 3-phase wiring experience and competency
· Good precision mechanical assembly skills and proven experience of testing built products from start to finish
· High level of understanding and be able to read and interpret technical engineering and assembly drawings
· Ability to identify and offer practical problem solving solutions to assembly issues - in both production and R&D disciplines
· Previous experience or general knowledge of sensors & transducers [pressure / load] - temperature sensors would be an advantage
· Hydraulics knowledge would also be desirable
