Finishing Engineering Operative
Description✓2BM Recruitment Ltd have been engaged by a leader in foundry manufacturing to recruit a Finishing Operative for their exceptional team
✓Based at their side easily commutable from Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled individual to uphold company standards.
✓* Starting salary of £24,350 + 25% shift allowance on Afters [£27,393 with allowance]
✓* Mornings and Afters rotating shifts
✓* Mornings 6am-2pm Mon-Thur & 5am-1pm Fri, Afters 2pm-10pm Mon-Thur & 1pm-9pm Fri
✓* Overtime available with premium rates paid as follows: In the week time and a third, Saturday time and a half and Sunday double time.
✓* 30 Days annual leave [inc 8 stats] increasing to 35 with service
✓* Private healthcare, pension, excellent career opportunities and state of the art working facilities.
✓Key Responsibilities
✓* Upgrade of castings in both Non-Ferrous and Ferrous alloys.
✓* Removal of ceramic mould material
✓* Removal of metal running, feeding and gating systems using hand tools i.e
✓grinders, burrs, abrasive belts
✓* Prepare casting ready for the welding process.
✓* Dress castings back to drawing tolerance and profile
✓We’re extremely keen to talk to Finishing/Production/Manufacturing Operatives or people that have worked in fettling, grinding, or machine operative roles within a manufacturing or engineering environment that have:
✓* The ability to use measurement tools including verniers, callipers, micrometres and depth gauges
✓* Knowledge of working with high integrity metals such as steels, lightweight alloys, nickel and titanium
✓* Ability to work to tight tolerances
✓* Good basic mathematics skills, with strong attention to detail
✓* A positive attitude with the ability to work accurately and follow procedure.
