Description✓Maintenance Technician/Engineer
✓Location: Carrington
✓Salary: £40k-£43k p/annum
✓The Role:
✓An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a thriving team at a recycling depot in Greater Manchester
✓You will be responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance, ensuring it is carried out in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
✓Main Responsibilities:
✓* To comply with all Health and Safety regulations regarding equipment installations, maintenance and daily inspections
✓* Ensure any operational issues are reported promptly
✓* To ensure that the depot is maintained allowing the facility to be operated at its optimum
✓* Keeps accurate maintenance record keeping against planned and unplanned maintenance work
✓* Complete defect reports in a timely manner and report into the line manager
✓* To plan, follow up and document the preventive maintenance for the equipment
✓* Managing subcontractors, including positive communication and invoicing in timely manner
✓* To manage spare parts stock and where necessary find spare parts alternatives
✓* To chase subcontractors for daily updates on equipment services
✓* To maintain industry sector knowledge, especially Best Available Techniques [ BAT]
✓Qualifications/Experience:
✓* Mechanical or electrical engineer qualification
✓* 3-5 years experience in maintenance roles
✓* Practical engineering experience
✓* Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
✓* Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
