✓I am working with a company in the energy industry, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team
✓The Mechanical Design Engineer will design heat exchanger assemblies, energy centres, this will also involve in documentation control and managing subcontractors
✓The Mechanical Design Engineer’s main focus will be in calculations, understanding of pressure drops, understanding parts datasheets, actual sizing of systems and components
✓This is an excellent opportunity to work for a world leader in the design of district heating and cooling networks
✓It is a remote opportunity, you will only have to go into the office once a month
✓They are offering a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 [dependent of experience].
✓
✓Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
✓BEng / BSc Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
✓At least 3 year’s experience in a similar role
✓Experience working in energy, commercial heating or oil and gas industries
✓Ability to size and specify valves, instruments and piping components
✓Experience with the creation and detailing of bills of material for plant equipment, valves and instrumentation
✓Experience with P&ID’s, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, CADWorx Plant Professional
✓Good understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics
✓Experience reading datasheets
✓Experience designing energy centres, CHP units, boilers, chillers and district heating network installations, heat exchanger skids [desired]
✓Experience in designing buried pre-insulated BS EN 253 piping systems to BS EN 13941 [desired]
✓Working knowledge of pre-insulated piping systems, buried piping system components and fabrication methods [desired]
