Mechanical Design Engineer
Description✓REED ENGINEERING have a great opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks experience to join our Clients team in Basingstoke.
✓The Company are an international manufacturer of products for the communications industry and you will be responsible for designing and drafting assembly drawings and components for their customers.
✓You will work with the design team and liaise with sales and procurement teams to produce accurate product specifications, data sheets etc.
✓Responsibilities and Duties:
✓Good knowledge of Solidworks software
✓Compulsory.
✓Draft the drawings using Solidworks software
✓Design new parts from concept
✓Design knowledge of molded Plastic parts & small machine components.
✓Ideally knowledge of fibre optics components but not compulsory
✓Good understanding of AutoCAD software but not compulsory.
✓Design analysis skill of plastic parts.
✓Liaison with Remote offices.Ideally you will have a degree qualification or similar level experience, 3D CAD experience [Ideally Solidworks] and a customer focussed approach.
