Mechanical Engineer

✓JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
✓SALARY: UP TO £3,000 EQUIVALENT PER MONTH + PLUS EXPENSES
✓Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer candidate with a background in Nuclear Power and outage experience to be engaged on a Contract basis, in Abu Dhabi.
✓RESPONSIBILITIES
✓*
✓Guide the execution of a defined scope of work activities to increase reliability and performance, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and maintain compliance with plant design basis and regulatory requirements.
✓*
✓Provide high technical expertise and provide guidance during the identification, investigation, and resolution of off normal equipment conditions to ensure safe plant operations and preserve equipment design margins.
✓*
✓Control and guide support in developing major equipment maintenance windows to assist Shutdown Management.
✓*
✓Lead/Support complex troubleshooting requests from Maintenance [MNT],
✓*
✓Operations [OPS] or other Engineering [ENG] departments to find and fix complex problems with systems or components
✓EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
✓*
✓3 years’ minimum work experience in Nuclear Power Plant Outage Environment
✓Mainly in general maintenance of equipment etc.
✓*
✓Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
✓*
✓Thorough knowledge of Nuclear/ Power plant safety procedures & related practices
✓*
✓Should undergo approved Permit holder test
✓*
✓Broad experience in nuclear/ power plant activities
✓*
✓Knowledge in valve operations & heavy lift
✓*
✓Familiar with MS Project/Primavera
