Night Shift CNC Millers & CNC Turners
Description✓Nexus Resource Solutions are working in partnership with one of the East Midlands leading machine shops
✓Due to a very strong order book, we require a CNC Turners and CNC Millers to work at their state-of-the-art facility in Chesterfield on a Night Shift basis.

✓The industries they offer services to are the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence, Hydraulic, Heavy Plant and Aerospace industries
✓The work is a good mix of one off’s and small to medium batch work.
✓Main Duties and Responsibilities:
✓• Safely operate all necessary machine tool equipment/fixturing and tooling in line with safe working practices
✓• Read and interpret engineering drawings in accordance with customer requirements
✓• Produce quality assured machined components
✓• CNC Turners: Set up, operate and the ability to make edits using Fanuc or Siemen controlled lathes
✓Programming experience would be advantageous but training can be provided.
✓CNC Millers: Set up, operate and the ability to make edits using Heidenhain controlled machining centres
✓Programming experience would be advantageous but training can be provided.
✓• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
✓• Ensuring adherence with all health, safety and environmental procedures
✓• Contribute to the maintenance of an orderly and safe working environment
✓• To promote positive company image demonstrating enthusiasm for the company
✓Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
✓·Qualified time served engineer
✓·Good knowledge of Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Aerospace industry components advantageous
✓·CNC Turning: A good knowledge of all machine shop practices Conversant with Fanuc and Siemens controlled machine tools.
✓·CNC Miller: Must have excellent knowledge of Heidenhain controls with the ability to set, operate and edit programs.
✓·Must be able to make edits
✓·Must be confident and have previous experience of machining exotic materials
✓·Components range from 1-10 tonne
✓The Hours/Remuneration:
✓* 4-day week on night shift Mon-Thu
✓* Nights – Monday to Thursday
✓Times to suit anyone commuting
✓Flexible start and finish times
✓Starting anywhere from 5.30pm-8pm and finishing at 6am-7am.
✓* 22 days holidays and 8 bank holidays
✓30 all together
✓* £17-20ph basic rate
✓* 39hr week with with 4hrs after 35hrs paid at x1.3
✓* Overtime is x1.3 during the week, x1.5 at the weekends and x2 on bank holidays
✓* Good overtime opportunities
