PPR Mechanical Design Engineer
Description✓PPR Mechanical Design Engineer - Full Time - Leeds, United Kingdom
✓Join Sulzer Pumps based in Leeds, as our Mechanical Design Engineer, to serve our global customer base for our varied aftermarket products, you will be our mechanical design expert working on projects through the design stage to handover to production, so we can continue to drive the business to the next level.
✓Your main tasks and responsibilities:
✓Undertake responsibility for design, processing and supporting activities
✓Compile engineering design plans for each order or contract, arranging specialist support assistance and supporting team members when required
✓Prepare and issue, according to established or agreed procedures, schedules, and specifications, of calculations, drawings, requisitions, and piece lists to satisfy design, manufacture, and customer requirements
✓Issue specifications for the selection, specification and ordering of factored equipment such as mechanical seals, seal systems and couplings etc
✓Co-ordinate design reviews and maintain records as appropriate
✓To succeed in this role, you will need:
✓HNC/Equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
✓Pump design experience
✓Experience of engineering project management
✓Cost awareness & commercial acumen
✓Relationship management skills
✓Excellent stakeholder management skills
✓2D & 3D design & draughting skills
✓2D & 3D CAD and general computer skills [Medusa, NX, Teamcenter]
✓Attention to detail
