Production Engineer
Description✓Magpie People are working with a growing specialist Engineering company based in Sheffield who are looking to expand their design / development team
✓You should be an experienced Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer with experience of heavy engineering and hot metal manufacturing .
✓Main Duties of the role
✓* Creation and development of engineering drawings.
✓* Design of dies & tooling for manufacturing process
✓* Constructing cost estimates for new products, along with developing efficient manufacturing processes.
✓* Conduct 2D or 3D simulation to ensure correct design for a better quality part.
✓* Work with colleagues to develop manufacturing processes, reduce waste, improve production processes and reduce cost.
✓You should have
✓* Strong CAD skills, with experienced of AutoCAD and ideally 3D packages
✓* Experience of working in highly regulated sectors, ideally Aeospace, Nuclear or OIl and Gas
✓* Strong Mechanical engineering background, ideally with formal qualifications
✓* An Understanding of hot metal manufacturing into a range of different industry sectors would be preferred
✓* Ideally have experience of working with either CMM or FARO for dimensional assesment
