The Company:
Our company is one of the largest stainless steel fabrication companies in Europe and specialises in the manufacture of machinery and process plant for municipal and industrial water and waste treatment.
As a UK Subsidiary the company’s sales of capital equipment are primarily to the UK water industry for municipal waste water treatment, but sales of equipment for the treatment of industrial effluent are becoming more significant.
The role
Reporting to the Projects Department Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of multiple mechanical & electrical projects [typical value £120K – 750K], installation of multiple electro-mechanical machines, from receipt of order through to final hand-over to the client.
The Project Engineer will ensure specifications and technical requirements are compliant, projects run on time and to budget
Regular customer liaison is a key part of the role as well as having control of commercial aspects and all documentation of the project
They will overseeing the project from initial sign off to the full installation of multiple machinery.
Our client is looking for a mechanical or electrical engineer qualified to HNC level or higher with experience of working in a similar environment preferably water and waste treatment or another process industries
The role requires a good communicator and negotiator who enjoys working closely with customers
The successful candidate must have good organisational skills, specifically the ability to co-ordinate the activities of external sub-contractors and internal engineering resources to achieve key project milestones within budget.

* Project management
* Commercial awareness and understanding of contract law
* Technical competence
* Awareness of CDM regulations and construction site health & safety issues
* Technical ability [Mechanical/electrical]
* IT literate i.e
experience using MS Project or similar
* ERP system
* Experience working within a process/ mechanical biased industry supplying capital equipment
* HNC ideally or above
* Stainless steel fabrication
* Engineering Design
* Water or process industry experience
OR experience within this field as part of another discipline
[i.e
you have been a design engineer with project administration experience who wants to move away from design and more into contract/project engineering]
