Project Engineer
Description✓Role Purpose:
✓* Our client based in Co
✓Dublin has an immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to manage several projects across their site.
✓* The role is within the Automation Department and reports to the Automation Manager.
✓* The department is responsible for automation projects, equipment and utility control system administration so the role will involve managing relevant project automation and validation activities.
✓Core Duties and Responsibilities:
✓* The current requirement is for an experienced Project Engineer to manage and implement projects predominately in the automation area
✓The client’s site plan is to invest in process automation and general site IT infrastructure over the next few years.
✓* Specific projects which require execution in the next 6 to 12 months include:
✓* Installation and Commissioning of Offline DCS Control System for Training and Validation environment.
✓* Upgrade of Yokogawa DCS control system Software application and associated OT network infrastructure hardware and configuration.
✓* Local Site PM facilitation of ‘Inmation’ Automation platform and Rockwell “My Equipment” package
✓* Legacy control system upgrades [obsolete and unsupported systems]
✓* The is a Project Management role
✓The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with specialist suppliers and influence decision making with the company’s stakeholders [local and global] regarding best technical solutions and project implementation strategy.
✓* As such, the candidate should have a sound understanding in the following areas:
✓* Control systems architecture from plant level to business / manufacturing OT network
✓* DCS/PCS/SCADA systems
✓* HMI, Thin Client and user interfaces
✓* Communications protocols Data integrity and 21CFR Pt11/Annex 11 requirements
✓* System security
✓* System testing & validation.
✓Education & Qualifications Required:
✓* Degree in Science/ Engineering
✓* Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Engineer required
✓* Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is required.
✓* Automation knowledge is desirable.
✓* Feasibility / Front end design / Stakeholder engagement / URS
✓* Risk analysis and management
✓* RFP pack [Request for Proposal] preparation & issue followed by detail bid analysis and recommendation.
✓* Project team set up / cross functional communication / chairing & recording meetings.
✓* Capital approval submittals
✓* Detail design / Vendor Liaison
✓* Procurement and Project implementation
✓* Completion / handover / training / customer support
