Senior Production Technician [Hy/Mech]

DescriptionOur client in Angus is looking for a Senior Production Technician for a permanent post.
Senior Production Technicians are expected to have the following core skills, experience and attributes;
* Excellent attitude to housekeeping and the ability to work safely.
* Light fabrication work using hand tools, portable and fixed power tools.
* Identification, Specification, ordering components/materials, across all Hydro-mechanical product groups.
* With no supervision, the assembly, disassembly, inspection, assessment, reporting and refurbishment of all Mechanical and Hydraulic equipment.
* Able to follow, and correct Engineering issued Work-packs, including the completion of all associated paperwork, recording of time, material/parts usage and component Serial No’s.
* Ability to accurately define, and Work to, Material and time budgets.
* Strictly adhere to all Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Operations in a safe and controlled manner ensuring the highest standards in compliance
* Troubleshooting of Mechanical/Hydraulic components, assemblies and Systems, including an advanced understanding of General assembly [GA] drawings and Hydraulic/Pneumatic schematics
* Pressure Testing of Hydraulic Components, Assemblies and Systems
With a full understanding of the limitations, applicable test pressures and safety precautions required.
* Able to access and use all company standard forms and templates and assist with the ongoing development of workshop processes and procedures
* Intermediate level fabrication of Hydraulic and Pneumatic tubing to an acceptable, certified and safe standard
* Ability to create bespoke Equipment condition, Technical and survey reports
* Demonstrate knowledge of Hydro-mechanical product/equipment groups
* Have an advanced Mechanical or Hydraulic specialization [i.e
Tubing fabrication, BOP Controls/Well control equipment knowledge]
* Have an advanced Operational/Technical understanding of equipment to be able to Conduct all Production workshop scopes on behalf of Engineering, including managing the safety of visitors.
* Provide a high level of Training, and mentoring, to ALL Production staff.
* Good understanding of Industry Standards, Regulations and directives
The role will be expected to occasionally work offshore in the North sea, or worldwide [Training will be provided]
Additional uplift will be paid for this.
Qualifications
The role holder should have the following:
* Qualification in a relevant Engineering subject
Experience
All of the following:
* Suitable industry experience in a relevant area of Engineering
* At least 8 years’ experience at a more Junior, or equivalent level
* Previous working in a manufacturing environment
An in-depth understanding of offshore operations would be an advantage
