Service Technician

DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician for the Gaming Machines on board the Ferries and based at Dover Port
You will be responsible for collecting the money, refilling machines, and servicing on a regular basis
As a Service Technician , you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of our game machines, with a primary focus on slot machines
Your expertise in engineering and knowledge of gaming machine mechanics will ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of our gaming floor.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on gaming machines, including slot machines, to ensure their proper functioning and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with gaming machines, including but not limited to coin mechanisms, bill validators, displays, buttons, and wiring.
- Repair and replace faulty components and parts, ensuring the timely resolution of machine malfunctions and minimising downtime.
- Conduct regular testing and calibration of gaming machines to maintain accuracy and fairness in game outcomes.
- Regular cash collections of cash from machines and refill of machines.
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for gaming machines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the handling and operation of gaming machines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing and resolving issues reported by players or staff regarding gaming machines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with gaming machines, particularly slot machines, in a technical or engineering capacity.
- Strong knowledge of gaming machine mechanics, including coin mechanisms, bill validators, displays, buttons, and wiring.
- Ability to repair and replace faulty components and parts, ensuring the proper functioning of gaming machines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing gaming environment.
- Hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week with the willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
You must hold a full clean driving licence and a Full passport to travel on board ferries.
