Site Engineer - St Austell
Description✓A major civil engineering and rail contractor are looking to appoint a freelance Site Engineer in St Austell
✓The business has seen a year on year increase in turnover recently due to the major investment in infrastructure and persistent repeat work with retained clients and their ongoing framework agreements across the South West counties with one-off projects up to £80 million.
✓They're recruiting for a newly awarded £78 million new road and infrastructure project
✓The works comprise of 3.9 miles single carriage way road and associated infrastructure works.
✓The successful candidate will have a good technical background in order to hit the ground running and take ownership of their section of the project
✓Ideally you will have a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering and experience of working on highways or civils projects.
✓Your duties include:
✓Setting out with surveying equipment [GPS & Robotic Total Stations]
✓Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
✓Assist in producing permits to break ground [CAT Scanning management]
✓Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
✓Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
✓Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
✓Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
