Steel Operative
Description✓A Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator / Material Handler is required for a steel processing company based in the Dudley area of the West Midlands
✓The company is performing really well and it is an exciting time to join a growing business within the industry.
✓This position is working on a temp to perm basis - with a permanent contract awarded after a probationary period.
✓Duties include:
✓Operating an overhead crane to handle steel
✓Driving a counterbalance FLT
✓Assisting with loading / offloading steel on machine lines
✓Banding, packing and palletising stockThis position is working days and nights rotating;
✓6:00am - 5:00pm [6:00am - 2:00pm Friday] days - 52 hours per week
✓6:00pm - 6:00am [Monday to Thursday] nights - 48 hours per week
✓The rate of pay is £10.42 on days [first 40 hours] and £12.50 on nights [and anything over 40 hours on days].
