Warehouse Operative/ FLT driver

✓Tailor Made Sourcing are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established
✓engineering company based in Burnley
✓Our client is currently seeking a Warehouse
✓Operator with FLT licence to join their successful company on a permanent basis.
✓It is a permanent position with 38 hours per week.
✓Hours of work:
✓Monday – Thursday 7.30 am – 4.15 pm, Friday 7.30 am – 12.30 pm
✓Rate of pay: £11.79
✓The Warehouse Operator is:
✓• Comfortable with manual handling of parts and materials in line with manual handling
✓operations regulations.
✓• Able to use a computer; training is provided in the company’s own systems.
✓• Conscientious and diligent in their work
✓• Understands the value of tasks and wants to complete them in a timely manner.
✓Main tasks:
✓• Unloading incoming goods using counterbalance FLT.
✓• Safe unloading of full container loads.
✓• Opening deliveries ready for inspection.
✓• Unpacking deliveries post-inspection.
✓• Sorting used packaging for recycling.
✓• Quantity checking.
✓• Receiving deliveries in computer system.
✓• Visual checking of parts for basic conformity.
✓• Identifying and recording delivery discrepancies, liaise with purchasing where needed.
✓• Identifying parts that require Inspection.
✓• Stocking parts that have passed inspection.
✓• Identifying parts for production or warehouse storage.
✓• Packing parts and materials in Fort Vale storage units.
✓• Loading storage units into racking.
✓• Retrieving storage units when parts and materials are needed.
✓• Delivering parts and materials into the factory.
✓Skills & abilities:
✓• A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and
✓established/agreed systems of work.
✓• Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes
✓within given boundaries.
✓• Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers.
✓• Computer literate, able to navigate a complex series of system functions
✓• Competent in the operation of all the counterbalance & VNA vehicles.
✓• Comfortable with working at heights and safety escape procedures in the warehouse.
✓• Time management skills.
✓• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
