✓An excellent opportunity has arisen with an award winning managed service provider for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to ensure the progression and swift resolution of tickets logged with the Service Desk and managing client expectations throughout.
✓
✓Our client is a highly regarded, award winning company based in South East London / Kent provides high-level support to recognised businesses, and are continuously expanding.
✓
✓Role & Responsibilities:
✓Handle escalated calls from first line Service Desk
✓Administer and maintain customer infrastructure, including Active Directory, Azure AD, LAN, Internet access, firewalls and Exchange/Office 365
✓Monitor and troubleshoot server and network performance utilising the monitoring system to ensure any necessary action is taken
✓Administer backup and disaster recovery systems and processes
✓Management of relationships with third parties and suppliers
✓Keep operational documentation up to date
✓Attend client sites for issue resolution and pro-active maintenanceEssential Skills & Experience:
✓3+ years experience on a helpdesk, technical support or similar role
✓Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 including NLB and clustering
✓Good knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware ESX
✓Experience managing Azure, primarily Virtual Machine Infrastructure
✓Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Windows 7-10 and Office 365
✓Strong knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs
✓Experience in managing Cisco switches and routers.
✓Knowledge of Windows Script Host/VBScript/ PowerShellDesirable:
✓Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider or ConsultancyPackage:
